Rockstar - Stillwater, MN Newborn Photographer
Piper was wide awake for a large portion of our session only take a few minute cat naps when swaddled nice and tight. She just didn't want to miss a thing. She finally fell sound asleep and was a rockstar for the end of the session. She even has the outfit to prove it!

Brenden | Twin Cities & Stillwater Newborn Photographer
Brenden was the best baby and let me pose him any way I wanted to. He slept through the session only making a peep when he was hungry. After 2 full bottles it was right to sleep and back to modeling.

Brenden | 15 days
Weight | 7 lbs 12 oz
Length | 20 inches

Jacob | Twin Cities & River Falls, WI Newborn Photographer
When I arrived at their house for this newborn shoot I was excited to see Jacob's full head of dark hair. Jacob slept right through most of the session and gave me some smiles that I am saving to show his mom and dad!

Emerson | Twin Cities & Stillwater Newborn Photographer
Emerson is the little lady I introduced you to while still in her mom's tummy in yesterday's post. She is such an alert baby we had to hang out for quite awhile for her to fall asleep but it was worth every shot.

Emmy just didn't want to keep her feet tucked into the swaddled blanket. She found a way to stick them out the end every time I wrapped her!

Peace!

Pretty in Pink!
I love baby stats (well anyone who knows me knows I like facts of any kind) so I thought it would be fun to start sharing them at the end of the blog posts.

Fancy {3 Weeks Old} | Twin Cities Newborn Photographer
Little Miss Josephine came for her photoshoot with heels and pearls most adults would envy. Her photos would have been just as cute even if her accessories had been left at home. We had a great time with Josie!

Kasey Thomas - Newborn Portraits | LaCrosse, WI Newborn Photographer
"As long as I'm home before 9" is the last thing I said when planning my trip LaCrosse with Kasey's mom. I just wanted to make it back somewhat early so I could prepare for work the next morning. That phrase was tested a few times on the day of the photoshoot.
My dad decided to keep me company on the, usually, 3 hour trip down to LaCrosse and more importantly the drive home that would occur later in the evening. Since he was coming along we decided to drive his truck. We got on the road right on time for our 10:30 arrival. We had an hour of the drive under our belts when all of a sudden the truck transformed from sounding like a modern day truck to what I can only image a tractor sounded like in the early 1900's. We pulled to the side of the road and called AAA. They scheduled a tow for us which was slightly delayed because AAA couldn't quite figure out where we were on the highway after we told them our location multiple times. They finally connected us with the local tow truck driver and he knew right where we were. Thankfully, it was starting to get cold in the truck and a little boring after sitting there for an hour!
We were towed about 45 minutes back to Hudson where my aunt met us so we could borrow her car. The dealership is only 7 miles from home but this part of our drive had taken us over 3 hours!!! We were on our way again around noon and arrived in LaCrosse around 3:00 only 5 hours late, not too bad all things considered. When we arrived we unloaded the car and my dad when on a search for a coffee shop with wi-fi. As he left I told him to give me a call if he hadn't heard from me in 1.5-2 hours, just in case our phones weren't working in this new location.
I realized 2.5 hours had passed and I hadn't heard from him. We were close to wrapping up the session so I though I would call so he could head over. I grabbed my phone and realized I had missed numerous calls from my mom and dad and for whatever reason my phone didn't ring. I tried my dad and the phone rang and rang. Then I tried my mom when I hear... you NEED to find your dad he tried to start the car and IT'S NOT STARTING. I thought for sure she was joking but nope it was true. I finally got a hold of my dad who was on the phone with AAA, again! We ended the session then and Kasey's dad drove me back to the coffee shop parking lot where my dad had been sitting during the photoshoot. Turns out they weren't open Sunday afternoons so he just stayed in the car and when he went to turn it on because he was getting chilly...there was nothing. We got jumped quickly and promptly started on our way we didn't want a chance for anything else to go wrong. We pulled into the drive at...8:59! "As long as I'm home before 9".
If you read my long story above thank you and I leave you with adorable photos below! I had to write the story down for people to read because it just too much to believe.
I'm sooo glad we made it to their house for the photoshoot that day. Kasey is adorable and was a great little model.

Charles Nicholas - Newborn Portraits | Stillwater, MN Newborn Photographer
Charlie came to the studio with his mom and brother for his newborn portraits. We hoped to not only capture portraits of Charlie but Johnathan in his new role as a big brother. Johnathan was more interested in playing than posing for the camera. Instead we had mom step in to get her picture taken with her new little guy!

Charlie thinks modeling is hard work!

I have known both Charlie's mom and dad since I was in elementary school, if not before, and both of there families. Both Johnathan and Charlie looked like there dad when they were first born but I can't help but think Charlie now looks a lot like his grandpa.
